The Lockheed P-38 Lightning, also known as the “fork-tailed devil” was a World War II fighter developed for the United States Army Air Corps. The single two pronounced twin booms and single with central fuselage cockpit made this two-plane-one-pilot aircraft one not easily forgotten. The plane was used by the Army in from agressive military flights like dive bombing to simple photo recon, the plane could do it all.
